Schladming takes over Garmisch giant slalom
The Austrian Ski Federation and the local organizing committee Schladming have decided to take over the cancelled World Cup Giant Slalom of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. One day after the legendary Nightrace on the Planai in Schladming, the international giant slalom elite will now also enjoy a night race.
"I would like to thank the province of Styria, the Planai lifts, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation and the European Broadcasting Union. Without their commitment and their flexibility and professionalism, this would not be possible," said ÖSV Secretary General Christian Scherer.
